Nationals Lose Again in Milwaukee

by @ 2:31 pm. Filed under 2008 Nationals

The Washington Nationals lost an afternoon game today as they finished their series in Milwaukee.  The Nats 7-1 loss drops them to 44-75.

Garrett Mock made the start for the Nationals and was hot and cold.  He lasted only 4.2 innings and gave up four earned runs.  However, he was very impressive in striking out nine batters but his pitch count just got too high and he had to be pulled.

After getting shut out a few times in Milwaukee the Nats actually got on the board today.  They scored in the first on a RBI single from Ryan Zimmerman, that would be it though.  Zimmerman and Willie Harris each had two hits for Washington to lead the way.

The Nationals will now head home to start a series with the struggling New York Mets.  Odalis Perez is scheduled to start the opener against Johan Santana.  Game time is 7:10pm.
