Nats Drop One to the Orioles

by @ 8:28 am. Filed under 2008 Nationals

While the Nationals look as though they may be the better team come the regular season, they lost to their “rivals” the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday.  John Patterson started for the Nats going the standard two innings and giving up one run and striking out two.  Dennis Tankersly struggled giving up the only other three runs allowed in his two innings of work.

In their two Spring Training games thus far the Nationals have mustered only two runs.  The offense could struggle this season but does have the potential to make things interesting.  Last years team played over what almost everyone in baseball expected them to do so don’t get too down over two spring losses.  Keep an eye on how the team progresses through Spring Training.
