Paul Lo Duca Has Knee Surgery, Should be Ready for Opening Day

by @ 3:42 am. Filed under 2008 Nationals

The Nationals newly acquired catcher, Paul Lo Duca, recently went under the knife and had knee surgery.  He’ll be out for four to six weeks and while this will carve into his spring training time, it looks like he should be ready for Opening Day.

At 35, you wonder how well he’ll be able to recover from this.  Fortunately the Nationals have just $5 million on the line but it’d be nice to have that veteran prescence on the mound when the season kicks off.
